Day 1: Visit Perth
Perth
A relaxed and pleasant city to live in, Perth stands out for its cosmopolitan character, offering a multitude of bars, restaurants, and cultural activities. As the fourth largest city in Australia, Perth is a dynamic hub that caters to everyone’s expectations. Explore art, music, and theatre at the Perth Cultural Centre, home to institutions such as the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Western Australian Museum, and the Perth Concert Hall.
Take a stroll along Elizabeth Quay, a must-visit in the city! You can walk along the quays, enjoy panoramic views of the city, or take a boat ride to explore the region from a different angle. Elizabeth Quay also hosts iconic attractions such as the giant Panda sculpture and the famous Bell Tower.
Stop by the Farmers Markets! Here, you’ll have the opportunity to buy fresh local products. However, note that the market is only held every Saturday morning.

Day 2:
Let the adventure begin: Perth and its surroundings
Pick up your Van
Do your first shopping, and let’s go!
Explore Fremantle. This port city is known for its laid-back atmosphere and rich maritime heritage. Fremantle boasts many historic buildings, including examples of Victorian architecture such as the town hall and Fremantle Prison.
Continue the journey and discover Cottesloe Beach! Cottesloe Beach is one of the most iconic beaches in Western Australia, and for good reason! This beach is perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, building sandcastles, or playing in the waves! Cottesloe Beach is also a world-renowned surfing spot. There are several spots suitable for surfers of all levels, including “The Groyne” for the more experienced ones!
If you wish, you can visit Yancheep National Park! Located about 50 kilometres north of Perth, Yancheep National Park. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Yanchep’s caves, where you’ll discover spectacular limestone formations on guided tours. These caves are steeped in Aboriginal history, with many paintings. Keep your eyes open, kangaroos, koalas, and many others will be waiting for you. We recommend ending the day to observe the amazing sunset at Yancheep Beach!
Day 3:
Lancelin – Pinnacles
Head towards Lancelin! You’ll quickly fall in love with its bright white dunes, beaches, and relaxed coastal lifestyle. The region is particularly known for sandboarding! If you decide to try sandboarding, an hour is plenty. Your thighs will remember it… After the effort, comfort! Lobster Shack is ideal for enjoying a plate of shrimp with a cold beer.

To continue the day, head towards the Pinnacles. Along the way, pass by the small port of Cervantes, which makes a pleasant stop after the road. Then, meet the “Pinnacles Desert,” a vast desert plain adorned with surprising natural sculptures: thousands of limestone pillars. These limestone columns are formed from shells that once covered the plain and have eroded over time. A road traces a loop around them, but a walk is more enjoyable to admire the immensity of these Pinnacles. We recommend taking a tour, especially during sunset! You’ll be amazed!

Day 4:
Jurien Bay – Geraldton
After being amazed the previous day, head towards Jurien Bay. Jurien Bay owes its reputation to the sea lions that reside a few kilometers off the coast. If you have the opportunity, enjoy a morning to meet them and swim with them for the lucky ones. Many companies offer this type of excursion. You’ll learn more about these animals! On site, cast your line into the water for a fishing session or enjoy the view from Jurien Bay’s jetty.
For the rest of the day, hit the road for Geraldton or Jambinu under its Aboriginal name! This place offers a unique blend of cultures. The city is home to a multicultural community and offers a fascinating glimpse into Australia’s Aboriginal, European, and modern culture and history. You can, for example, visit the Australian Museum Geraldton. On site, depending on the time of year, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the many festivals and cultural events that take place throughout the year.
Day 5:
Hutt Lagoon – Kalbari
Hit the road again and discover the Pink Lake – Hutt Lagoon. The pink hue of Hutt Lagoon is due to the presence of algae. The colour of the lake varies from red to pink to purple, depending on the time of day. The best time to visit the lake is usually midday, when the sun is at its zenith. If you have a drone, it’s the perfect time to get some height and admire its colours. If you wish, you can also fly over this lake and enjoy a magnificent view.

For the rest of the day, head towards Kalbarri, approximately 1 hour’s drive away. Before arriving at the national park, you’ll have the opportunity to discover many spots such as Island Rock Lookout, Eagle Gorge Lookout, Rainbow Valley, or Red Bluff Lookout. For snorkelling enthusiasts, we highly recommend Blue Hole, where you’ll be amazed. Then, explore Kalbarri National Park! This park covers nearly 2,000 hectares, punctuated by red eucalyptus trees, gorges, and cliffs. The park is home to abundant wildlife and offers a magnificent spectacle with the blossoming of wildflowers between July and November.
Day 6:
Explore Kalbari
To start the day, we recommend visiting the “Pelican Feeding Point” where you’ll have the opportunity to approach and feed these animals very closely! If you’re interested, it’s in Kalbarri Centre, every day at 8:45 a.m. Continue to discover Kalbarri National Park. The Bigurda Trail, an easy 8 km one-way trail, follows the cliff top between Natural Bridge and Eagle Gorge. Between July and November, it offers the opportunity to spot whale migrations. The viewpoints of the Loop and the superb Nature’s Window (1 km round trip) offer fabulous panoramas, not to be missed!

To end the day, hit the road for Shark Bay!
Day 7:
Discover Shark Bay and its treasures!
Enjoy Shark Bay. This place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a paradise for nature lovers. Bordered by over 1,000 kilometres of pristine coastline, Shark Bay offers a multitude of beautiful beaches.
Then, head to Denham, with its palm-fringed beaches and turquoise waters. Make a stop at Shell Beach, made up entirely of white shells! Continue your journey towards Eagle Bluff, which offers a spectacular view of the ocean where you may be able to spot sharks and rays. The most popular activity remains feeding wild dolphins in the shallow waters of Monkey Mia, 26 km from Denham. The jetty is a good observation point: the first feeding is at 7:45 a.m. and then at noon.

To finish, we recommend hitting the road towards Carnarvon. Since it’s a bit long, we recommend splitting the journey in two.
Day 8:
Discover Carnarvon!
Head to Carnarvon! The north coast of Carnarvon, wild and isolated, is a haven for surfers and fishermen. For families, we recommend taking a trip to the Carnarvon Space & Technology Museum! You’ll be rewarded with giant rollers, fascinating marine life, and dazzling sunsets. Fifty kilometres from Carnarvon are the famous Blowholes, where water is ejected through rocky cavities. Don’t miss it, it’s impressive!

To end the day, hit the road for Coral Bay!
Day 9:
Coral Bay, a paradise getaway
Discover Coral Bay! This seaside village is a good base for accessing Ningaloo Marine Park. Limited to a single street and a large white sand beach, it’s easily explored on foot!

At the entrance to Ningaloo Marine Park, Coral Bay is an ideal place to swim and snorkel with amazing manta rays throughout the year. You can also swim with turtles, whale sharks (from April to June), and whales (from June to November). On-site, you’ll also have the opportunity to discover the “Shark Sanctuary”! Diving enthusiasts, put on your mask and snorkel and let yourself be amazed by the rich marine life!
Day 10:
Coral Bay – Day 2
Coral Bay has plenty of beautiful surprises. We recommend without hesitation visiting Paradise Beach to relax and sunbathe. After all, it’s vacation! Take a trip to Bill’s Bay, pass by Coral Bay Beach and Skeleton Beach. These spots are ideal for snorkelling. Take the time to discover marine life, which reserves plenty of beautiful surprises! For the more experienced, we recommend a diving excursion. One thing is for sure, you’ll be amazed!

Day 11:
Idyllic destination – Discover Exmouth
Hit the road for Exmouth! This place is a true paradise on earth, home to exceptional marine life. Enjoy a free day in Exmouth to explore the Ningaloo Reef or relax on the beaches.
Discover the Ningaloo Marine Park! This park is home to a wide variety of marine species, including sharks, rays, mantas, humpback whales, turtles, dugongs, dolphins, and over 500 different fish species. To relax, lie down at Turquoise Bay, an ideal place to recharge! You’ll be amazed.

Day 12:
Exmouth – Day 2
Option 1: Encounter with whale sharks
If you’re there during the season (mid-March to late October), go out and discover whale sharks! It’s an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. The months of June, July, and August are generally considered the best for whale shark watching! The crystal-clear waters where they are found offer exceptional visibility! You’ll also have the opportunity to snorkel with manta rays. It’s an extraordinary experience that allows you to discover the grace and majesty of these impressive marine creatures.
Option 2: Get your sneakers on!
To start this day, we suggest a hike to Mandu Mandu Gorge. This gorge is famous for its spectacular landscapes, unique rock formations! It’s a popular spot for hiking and nature observation, offering visitors an immersive experience!
To continue the day, we recommend going to Sandy Bay. After one (or more) hikes, a break is necessary. Take the time to relax on the beach, swim, snorkel. For the more sporty, you’ll even have the opportunity to rent kayaks!

Day 13:
Exmouth – Day 3
To start this day, head to Lakeside. Lakeside is a quiet and sheltered beach located in the spectacular Cape Range National Park.
For the rest of the day, pass by Charles Knife Canyon. Charles Knife Canyon Drive takes you to the top of the canyon, with breathtaking views! The canyon gets its name from the sharp cliffs that seem to cut through the surrounding landscape. It was formed by erosion over millions of years, creating steep walls and unique rock formations.
To end the day, hit the road for Karijini National Park. To reach the park, the road is quite long (7 hours), which is why doing it in two stages is a good solution!

Day 14:
Adventure in the heart of the gorges – Karijini National Park
Hit the road towards Karijini National Park. The magnificent waterfalls and peaceful pools of Karijini are truly worth a visit! This national park is a must-see! It’s renowned for its landscape, stunning waterfalls, and ancient rock formations. It’s a perfect place for hikers, with a variety of trails to explore. Among them, there is the trail along Dales Gorge (4 km round trip), offering spectacular views, and the more challenging trail of Hancock Gorge (1 km round trip), which crosses a chilly river! We also recommend passing by Fortescue Falls and the beautiful Fern Pool.

Day 15:
Karijini National Park – Day 2
To start this new day, we recommend Knox Gorge, an iconic destination located in Karijini National Park. To continue, we recommend Joffre Falls, an impressive waterfall that flows along the walls of Joffre Gorge. Finally, we recommend Kalamina Gorge, characterised by its steep rock walls and spectacular rock formations. Kalamina Gorge is home to several natural pools where visitors can swim and cool off. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the gorge!

Day 16:
Karijini National Park – Day 3
Start with a sunrise hike on Mount Bruce. The sunrise hike on Mount Bruce is an unforgettable experience. Mount Bruce, which rises to about 1234 meters, is the second highest point in Western Australia and offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. For the rest of the day, we recommend passing by Hammersley Gorge. It’s an iconic destination located in Karijini National Park. It’s renowned for its red rock walls, crystal-clear natural pools, and refreshing waterfalls.

Day 17:
Collier Range National Park
Head to Collier Range National Park. Along the way, you can stop in Newman. Newman is an important mining town.
Collier Range National Park is a national park in the Pilbara region. The park is one of many in the Pilbara and was established in 1978. On site, you’ll have the opportunity to discover a magnificent landscape!
Day 18:
Meekatharra – A journey into the heart of the Australian Outback
Discover Meekatharra. On site, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal culture.
We recommend the Meeka Town Heritage Walk or the Creek Trail to discover the history and heritage of Meekatharra and its inhabitants. We also recommend following the 3 kilometres of the Meeka Rangelands Discovery Trail for a fascinating glimpse into Aboriginal history! To continue the day, prepare a picnic at Peace Gorge, just five kilometres from the town, to explore the granite rock formations.
Then start the journey south, towards Perth

Back to Perth!

Day 20:
Explore the beauty of Rottnest Island
Discover Rottnest Island. This island is famous for its spectacular natural beauty, white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and unique fauna. The most famous attraction on Rottnest Island is undoubtedly the quokka. These small marsupials resembling kangaroos are very friendly. They are often very curious and approach visitors in a friendly manner.
