What should I bring?

For your  adventure we recommend bringing:

  • Swimwear
  • Shorts,
  • Towel
  • It is GoPro friendly experience. Feel free to bring yours along with a chest harness.

What else should I know before I go?

The base is conveniently located right on the banks of the Kaituna River, eliminating the need for long bus rides or waiting around in wet suits! Arrive early and enjoy a walk along the beautiful Okere Falls Scenic Reserve track, which offers multiple viewing platforms of the river and its many waterfalls, making it the perfect pre-rafting activity.

All riders must be at least 13 years old, with a maximum individual weight limit of 120kg.
Pregnant guests are not permitted to ride.
There is no maximum age, but participants must be fit, healthy, and active, with no major health issues.

No prior experience is necessary, as full and comprehensive training will be provided by our expert guides. A professional photographer will capture your adventure, and photos are available for purchase by the raft.

Rafting in the rain is an excellent wet-weather activity since you’re going to get wet anyway! The Kaituna River, which drains the Rotorua and Rotoiti lakes, is dam-controlled, ensuring regulated flows even after heavy rain.

What is the cancellation policy?

Weather cancellation by the operator will be rescheduled or refunded in full.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour date are non-refundable.
A 20% cancellation fee applies to any booking cancelled prior.

Please note that the card fee is also non-refundable.
