Please arrive on time for the cultural experience. Late arrivals may result in missing certain aspects of the experience, and no refunds or rescheduling will be provided for latecomers. Participants must present a valid booking confirmation or identification upon check-in. Guests are required to check in on arrival at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
Guests are welcome to take photographs and videos for personal use during the cultural experience.
Our hāngī earth oven kai (food) includes meat, chicken, kumara, and much more. The hāngī is cooked in an earth oven, where baskets of kai are placed on hot stones at the bottom of a pit and covered to trap the heat. The steam and heat from the hāngī stones infuse the kai with delicious earthy flavors while it cooks for 3-4 hours. Come and try this tempting and delicious food.
We specialise in serving “hangi” and cater to some dietary needs, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options. All our meats are halal.
In the event that Mitai Māori Village needs to cancel the cultural experience due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
If you change your mind or need to cancel for any other reason, a cancellation fee will apply according to VANZ Travel’s terms and conditions available on our website.
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled start time will be eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made between 72 hours and 48 hours before the scheduled start time will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour date are non-refundable.
