• Fuel Levy & Admin Fee: An additional $20 per person must be paid directly to the tour operator before travel.
• Drinks & Snacks: Soft drinks, beer, wine, cider, and snacks are available onboard for an extra cost.
• Transfers: Return transfers can be arranged for an additional fee when reconfirming with the tour operator. If you do not need a pick-up, please select the “CHECK IN AT THE REEF FLEET TERMINAL” option when booking.
• Diving: Up to three introductory or certified dives are available each day at an extra cost.
• Scenic Helicopter Flights: Optional flights to and from the exclusive heli-pontoon on the Outer Reef can be arranged for an additional fee.
• Wetsuits for Snorkelers: Scubapro wetsuits (3mm thickness, short sleeves) are included for introductory and certified divers but cost an additional $10 per person for snorkelers onboard.
• Professional Photography: Photos taken during the day are available for purchase on the return journey. Alternatively, hire a digital underwater camera with an SD card for a fee.

Note: A professional photographer may not be onboard every day due to staffing. If no photographer is available, renting an underwater digital camera is a fantastic way to capture your memories!

While Cairns often experiences rain in the mountains, our reef locations are 40 km offshore, where conditions are typically much clearer. Even if it’s raining in Cairns, don’t worry—our outer reef destinations usually have sunny skies and calm waters.

Each day, we select reef locations based on weather and water clarity to ensure the best experience. Mornings typically include stops at Norman Reef or Saxon Reef, followed by North Hastings Reef in the afternoon, where scenic helicopter flights and the Semi-Submersible tour are conducted.

It is one of Cairns’ largest reef vessels, is spacious and comfortable, with three decks and multiple outdoor spaces. Although the vessel is licensed for 300 passengers, we limit capacity to 150-180 guests for a more enjoyable experience. The ride to the outer reef takes about 90 minutes.

Flotation devices and snorkel supervisors ensure a safe and enjoyable snorkelling experience. Need prescription masks? We offer them free of charge with a refundable $50 deposit. Simply ask our crew during the trip, and we’ll find the right lenses for you (available from -3 to -7).

Enjoy a gourmet Aussie BBQ lunch featuring prawns, fish, steak, and a variety of tropical salads. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options are available—just let Tour Operator know at least 48 hours in advance if you have any dietary requirements.

Diving Information & Safety Guidelines

• Medical Clearance: All divers must complete a medical questionnaire. Divers over 65 or with specific medical conditions (e.g., asthma, heart disease) require a medical clearance from a doctor.
• Introductory divers must be at least 12 years old, and certified divers must be 10 years or older.
• Children under the age of 18 must be in the immediate company of a parent or legal guardian.
• Certified Diving: Evidence of certification is required for all certified dives.
• No Diving Before Flights: Diving is not permitted within 24 hours of flying.
• Pre-Booked Dives: Packages including dives cover one pre-booked dive. Additional dives can be purchased onboard or directly with the operator before your trip.

• If the tour is canceled by the operator due to weather or other reasons, a full refund will be provided.
• You can reschedule your tour free of charge, provided you notify us at least 48 hours before your scheduled date (subject to availability).
• If you choose to cancel for any reason:

  2) Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour date are non-refundable.
