Please ensure you arrive at Cape Byron Kayaks at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Late arrivals will regrettably not be able to join the tour and will not be eligible for a refund.
Kindly note that this tour takes place in the open ocean, and you should feel confident in open water environments.
We advise against booking this tour for non-swimming adults. Non-swimming adults who book and are unable to complete the tour will not be entitled to a refund.You should have a reasonable level of fitness and the ability to paddle your own kayak. Please note that inability to paddle your own kayak in moderate conditions does not qualify for a refund.
During summer daylight saving time, there is an hour’s time difference between Queensland (QLD) and New South Wales (NSW). Please ensure you check the time difference if traveling from QLD.

What is the cancellation policy?

If Cape Byron Kayaks cancels your tour due to weather or other reasons, you will receive a full refund.
This tour will proceed in the rain. Customers who cancel less then 24hrs prior to a tour due to rainy conditions are not entitled to a refund or free swap. Choosing to opt out of a tour due to rain does not warrant a refund
If you need to change your tour date, we offer flexibility at no charge. Simply let us know at least 48 hours before your scheduled date, subject to availability.
However, if you change your mind or need to cancel for any other reason, a cancellation fee will apply according to VANZ Travel’s terms and conditions available on our website.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours of the tour date are non-refundable.
Please be aware that the card fee is non-refundable.
