What should I bring?

For your 1 Day Tour Chillagoe, Aboriginal Rock Art and Australian Outback  we recommend to bring:

  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Comfortable clothes and flat shoes or sandals (no thongs)
  • Sunglasses
  • Camera/Smartphone
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Raincoat or umbrella in our rainy season (December to March)

What is NOT included?

Don’t worry about a thing! Bring along some extra snacks to keep your energy up throughout the day. Also, consider bringing extra cash or a credit card for drinks, ice cream, or souvenirs along the way.

What else should I know before I go?

Please ensure you are reasonably fit as the tour includes stairs and uneven ground, with the cave exploration lasting about an hour at a leisurely pace.

Keep in mind that the itinerary may change due to weather conditions, road closures, or safety concerns.

Remember to inform of any dietary requirements when booking or at least 48 hours before your travel date.

Tour operator provide baby seats or booster seats upon request for children up to 7 years old; please notify it when booking.

To confirm your booking and for details such as pickup times and dietary needs, please contact our reservations team at 07 4032 0077 at least 48 hours before your travel date.

For pickups from Northern Beaches accommodation, there’s an additional cost of $29 per person. International Coaches will pick you up around 6:45 AM and transfer you to Canopys Edge Bus Stop in Smithfield, where your guide will meet you. Return transfers to Canopys Edge Bus Stop are included, departing around 6:30 PM.

For pickups from Port Douglas accommodation, there’s an additional cost of $99 per person (minimum 2 people). International Coaches will pick you up between 6:00 AM – 6:15 AM and transfer you to the bottom of the Kuranda range, where your guide will meet you. Return transfers are scheduled between 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM.

Please be punctual for your hotel pickup to avoid missing your transfer, as lateness may result in a 100% cancellation fee.

Note that all times provided are approximate, and exact arrival and departure times cannot be guaranteed. The operator is not liable for missed connections or changes in vehicle type or service operation.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • The tour generally depart rain, hail or shine but in the event of extreme weather, tours can be cancelled. You will receive a full refund.
  • If a portion of your tour is cancelled due to weather, this is not refundable.
  • If you decide to cancel your booking or change your plans for any reason not related to weather or unforeseen circumstances, please be aware that a cancellation fee will be applicable in accordance with VANZ Travel’s terms and conditions, which can be found on our website.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours of the tour date are non-refundable.
  • Please be aware that the card fee is non-refundable.
