Above the City Lights: Story Bridge Climb – Brisbane’s Most Breathtaking Adventure!

Don’t forget your voucher and a valid ID—they’re required for your climb.

• Clothing: You’ll be provided with a fully enclosed climb suit to wear over your clothes. Your climb leader will advise you on the day’s weather and suggest what’s most comfortable to wear under your suit. If rain is expected, pack a change of clothes for after the climb.
• Footwear: Fully enclosed, rubber-soled shoes are required.
• Accessories Provided: Hats, sunglasses, lanyards, rain jackets, and sunscreen will be available to suit the conditions.
• Spectacles/Shades: Bring your own glasses or sunglasses; we’ll secure them to your climb suit for safety.Personal Items:

• Cameras, mobile phones, handbags, and other personal items are not allowed on the climb, but lockers are provided to keep them secure. Don’t worry—the views are so spectacular, you won’t even miss your phone!
• Watches, bracelets, and fitness devices must also stay in the locker. Rings and small earrings are fine to wear.

Hair Accessories: Long hair must be tied back with a soft elastic band—no clips or pins allowed.

Payments: We are cashless, so no need to bring cash for bookings, photos, or beverages post-climb.

Safety First: Each climber wears a safety harness attached to a bridge safety cable for the entire duration of the climb.

With everything thoughtfully prepared, all you need to bring is your excitement for an unforgettable Brisbane bridge climb experience!

For safety reasons, personal cameras, including video cameras, are not allowed on the climb. But no need to worry—your Climb Leader will capture your adventure for you! Along the way, photos will be taken at several key spots with stunning views.

Photo Package:
After your climb, you can purchase a photo package from the Gift Shop for $30. This includes 7 photos:

• 2 photos taken at each of 3 scenic locations,
• 1 group photo to capture the moment with your climbing team.

Additional Information:
Accommodation transfers, drinks, and refreshments are not included in the climb experience.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled climb to allow plenty of time to check in, prepare, and join the group on time. Starting early ensures you make the most of the experience, enjoy the views, and reach the top without feeling rushed.

Fitness Requirements

To participate in the climb, you need a general level of health and fitness to safely and independently climb stairs in all weather conditions. The climb involves:

• Ascending 120 scaffold stairs,
• Climbing approximately 544 steps at a 45° angle to the summit,
• Descending 544 steps on the bridge and another 120 scaffold stairs to complete the experience.

Age and Child Participation

• Children aged 6-16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• For children 6-9, the ratio is 1 adult per child.
• For children 10-16, 1 adult may accompany up to 3 children.
• Unfortunately, children under 6 cannot participate.

Exclusions

For safety reasons, individuals meeting the following criteria are unable to climb:

• Over 20 weeks pregnant.
• Under 110 cm in height.
• Weighing more than 130 kg (due to equipment limitations).
• A history of a fit or seizure in the past 6 months.
• Recent injuries, such as broken bones or hip replacements, that could impede the group’s pace.

Additional Requirements

• Blood-alcohol level must be below 0.05 to climb. Save celebratory drinks for after the climb—it’s worth it!

The Experience

This incredible adventure spans almost a kilometre across the bridge’s superstructure, with a viewing platform 80 metres above the Brisbane River, offering stunning views of the city’s heart and beyond.

The Story Bridge Adventure Climb operates in most weather conditions, ensuring you can enjoy your adventure even if the weather isn’t perfect. However, if the Tour Operator cancels your climb due to extreme weather or other unforeseen reasons, you will receive a full refund.

• Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and only valid for the date and time of the booked climb.
• Failure to show up on time will result in a non-refundable ticket.
• Changes requested up to 14 days before your climb date will incur a $50 fee per booking.
• Changes requested within 13 days to 72 hours before your climb will incur a $25 rescheduling fee per climber.
• Changes requested within 72 hours of the climb cannot be accommodated.
• Please note that the card fee is non-refundable.
