Day 1: Explore Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet Lookout

Feel the excitement as we set sail from Coral Sea Marina. Glide through the turquoise waters towards our first stop, Tongue Bay, on Whitsunday Island. Get ready for an awe-inspiring bush walk to Hill Inlet Lookout. Capture stunning photos of the swirling white sands and turquoise waters of Whitehaven Beach, one of the world’s most photographed beaches.
Walk down to Whitehaven Beach and feel the almost pure silica sand between your toes. Relax, explore, and let the beauty of this paradise wash over you.
Back on board, enjoy a delightful morning tea as we sail to our first snorkel spot. Dive into the vibrant underwater world, swim among colourful corals, and maybe even spot a turtle!
As the day winds down, we’ll anchor in a picturesque bay. Enjoy sunset snacks and a drink while chatting with your fellow travellers and soaking in the beauty of the Whitsundays. End the day with a hearty dinner prepared by our friendly crew, using fresh, local ingredients.

Day 2: Dive into the Underwater Wonderland

Wake up to a delicious breakfast and gear up for another snorkeling adventure. Dive into the colourful underwater world, spot tropical fish, and maybe even see a turtle! After a morning of snorkeling, relax on the beach or take a swim.
After a refreshing swim, it’s time to jump back into the clear waters and explore more vibrant coral reefs. Enjoy a cup of tea before heading to another beautiful spot for more swimming, snorkeling, or beach fun.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch on board, savoring tasty dishes prepared by our crew. Reflect on the incredible experiences as we set sail back towards Airlie Beach, arriving by 4 PM.

Whether you’re an experienced sailor or a curious novice, you can help out with the sails and learn the ropes. Or simply chill on deck, enjoying the serene sea breeze and stunning views. Know Before You Go

What should I bring?

For your memorable 2-day, 1-night journey on the Whitsunday Sailing Cruise, we advise bringing:

small bag (no zippers or wheels)
swimwear and spare clothes (include something warm for cooler evenings or winter months)
toiletries
water bottle for refills
comfortable walking shoes
hat and sunglasses
sunscreen and insect repellent
beach towel
camera and phone charger
alcohol (no glass; wine bottles accepted, excluding red wine) and extra snacks or soft drinks

What is not included?

Luggage storage available in Airlie Beach.

Feel free to bring your own alcoholic beverages, which are available for purchase in town (please avoid glass bottles or red wine). We recommend purchasing them the day before, as bottle shops in Airlie Beach do not open until 10am.

You can bring with you more snacks if you wish. Soft drinks are available to purchase on board.

Any dietary requirements (such as vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free diets and dairy/lactose-free) will need to pay a surcharge of $15 per person payable on check in.

No pick ups or drop offs available.

There is a 30% surcharge for the trip departing on the 24th December.

What else should I know before I go?

The above tour itinerary serves as a guideline and is subject to change based on seasons, tides and weather conditions.
Minimum age is 4 years old.
This boat welcomes children aged 4 and above upon request. Please feel free to inquire for more details.
You’re not required to swim or snorkel. If snorkeling isn’t your thing, you’re more than welcome to relax on the boat instead.
You must reconfirm you tours prior to travel as specified on your voucher. We recommend to do it at least 72 hours before your departure. It must be done directly by calling at 07 4967 7555.
Guests are required to check in via an online wavier which is to be completed no later than 72 hours before travel. A confirmation email will be sent to the confirmed traveller.

What is the cancellation policy?

If Explore Whitsundays cancels your tour due to weather or other reasons, you will receive a full refund.
If you change your mind or need to cancel for any other reason less than 61 days of your departure date, a cancellation fee will apply according to VANZ Travel’s terms and conditions available on our website.
Cancellations made less than 14 days of the tour date are non-refundable.
Cancellations made between 14 to 30 days before departure of the tour date will occur 50% fee + administration fee according to VANZ Travel’s terms and conditions.
Cancellations made between 60 and 30 days before departure of the tour date will occur 25% fee + administration fee according to VANZ Travel’s terms and conditions.
If you need to change your date of travel, and you are within the cancellation period (at least 15 days of your tour date, $50 per person transfer fee may be applicable and subject to availability).
Please be aware that the card fee is non-refundable.
